PARTICIPATE IN A STROKE ADVISORY BOARD
REVISED PARTICIPANT CRITERIA
Stroke Recovery Foundation is honored to be partnering with Study on Clinical Research Participation (CISCRP), an important player in the Clinical Research world, who reached out to the Foundation.
We know you, as a stroke survivor and/or stroke survivor caregiver have views which need to be heard by the medical community. And happily, if chosen you will get paid for your time and trouble.
CISCRP, an independent non-profit organization, is planning a virtual patient advisory board among individuals who have suffered an Acute Ischemic Stroke (AIS), and their caregivers.
CISCRP is looking for patients, and their caregivers, who feel comfortable sharing their experiences living with or caring for someone who has suffered an AIS.
What is the purpose of this Patient Advisory Board?
The goal of the patient advisory board is not to recruit for a clinical trial, but rather to learn from patients how to best create a clinical trial that addresses the unique needs of individuals with this condition and their families.
The chosen Advisors will be asked to share their experiences before/during/after the stroke, their views on an ideal treatment, as well as thoughts on proposed clinical trial elements for this condition. The goal is not to recruit for a clinical trial, but rather to learn from patients how to best create a clinical trial that addresses the unique needs of individuals with this condition and their families.
Who will be chosen?
CISCRP is looking for individuals who have experienced an Acute Ischemic Stroke (AIS) within the last 3 years and underwent an endovascular thrombectomy and received ‘clot-busting’ therapy. Caregivers also welcome.
This advisory board will take place in mid-July 2022 (exact date/time TBD) as two, 2-hour sessions. As a thank you for your time, CISCRP will provide an honorarium of $400 to those who are eligible and fully participate.
